Securite glass
About This Project
Securite glass is a type of safety glass that is five times stronger than annealed and coated glass of the same size and thickness. Securite glass receives this strength from the cooling process during manufacturing.
This strength gives Securite glass much higher load bearing and fracture resistance. You have to work hard to break the Securit glass. While laminated glass is in place when it breaks, Securite glass is broken into hundreds of small pieces. This breaking method reduces the risk of damage compared to annealed glass.
Securite glass has four to five times the heat resistance of standard glass and can withstand high temperature changes up to 250 ° C.
